Strong scent
I really wanted to like this face mist since it said it soothes and moisturizes skin, but unfortunately it was a miss for me. The first thing I noticed when I sprayed it was the strong smokey scent. It was too overpowering for me and gave me a headache. The scent didn’t go away after wearing it for a bit. My skin felt tingly as well. The packaging does feel high quality and I like that it’s in a glass bottle.

If you’re concerned about the scent, please read this review!
For those concerned about the scent as other have stated, I just need to say that this facial setting spray is organic. It is filled with essential oils geared to the health of the skin. It does not contain perfume like many chemical based cosmetics do. So maybe some people are expecting no scent or that “smells amazing, but it’s just chemicals scent” that we often see with big box corporations. With that known, the scent you are receiving is all natural organic essential oils. If you are familiar with working with a variety of pure essential oils, then you will understand the scent. Real essential oils are most definitely more expensive. Real essential oils should always be stored in a dark glass bottle as to prevent sunlight from contaminating the oils, to which this is properly stored. I definitely do not think it is gross by any means. It smells very organic. Like a forest. ANYWHO this product seems less like a setting spray and more of a toner or a facial mist rich in essential vitamins and goodness. It is very hydrating, smells like wonderful plant extracts. It is a great base prior to applying my serums. I am a huge user of a variety of essential oils. That being said, this is a great product for bringing supplements into the skin.

a setting spray that feels “clean,” not tacky or sticky
I absolutely love a couple spritzes of this after SPF and makeup in the morning before I leave. Somehow it seems like it keeps things from doing a melting act right away, but it doesn’t have any tight, sticky, tacky, “I just sprayed hairspray on my face” feeling.
It does smell like cloves, which I know may put some people off. However, I am sensitive to scents, and I find this very preferable to astringent or cloying florals, and it doesn’t linger.
I love that Dermaglove products are made in the USA with natural ingredients, and I love that it contains antioxidant ferulic acid. This bottle will last me a while, but this mist is already on my “repurchase” list.
